The tale of the vanishing GAS!

By
Real Estate Sales Representative with Keller Williams Atlanta Partners

Well after a long week I'm finally home. I love the fact that I was so busy, but after I totaled up the gas for the week I had second thoughts. The whole office at home sounds really good right now. I didn't realize I drove so many miles this week!! Keep in mind I drive a gas hog-SUV! After this weeks gas bill I'm sure a small car is in my near future. It's $76.00 every fill up and I did just that 2 1/2 times this week alone!! Wouldn't it be nice to have buyers pay up front?? HAHA! Then I wouldn't be spending my life saving on gas!

I hear you!  I have had to really pay attention and route my trips accordingly.  I just don't put anyone in my car these days!

I plan my week out to drive as little as possible, combining all errands, runs to the office, listing appts and buyer appts accordingly.  The price of gas is a killer....I e-mail listings to prospective buyers and have them drive by the areas, pick the ones they like best and then we schedule an appt to view them.  I have a small SUV (Hyundai Tucson) and it $50 to fill it.

The rising fuel costs definitely have an impact on our business. It may be beneficial to have clients drive when they want to see homes all over the map.

Angela -  I won't cry...my office is only 2 blocks from my house. Haven't needed to meet people at houses for a bit.
