Spring Inspiration and Positive Views of Lake Anna, VA

By
Real Estate Agent with Dockside Realty VA 0225142975

sunset and flowers at Lake AnnaSpring is a time of new beginnings, a time of hope and expectation.  What a great time of year to consider a move to Lake Anna.

I cannot think of another time that gets the heart racing just a bit more with anticipation of fun times ahead, time to be with family and friends, time to get the boat ready to launch for a new season of boating, water skiing, fishing, and swimming. Thoughts also turn to lounging in the hammock or sitting down by the dock. It can be a time to rest and reflect.

Just the thought of drifting along on the water at a leisurely pace soaking in the sights is enough to inspire many to begin the search for a place to call their own here at the lake.  For some it will mean a change to full-time lake living and for others it will be the purchase of a part-time home or getaway that will ensure a positive attitude during the work week for their weary souls.

boatingRight now, before the leaves fill in and block the views you can cruise around the lake spotting homes that are tucked in secluded coves and on wooded lots.  You are able to get a different perspective of the many neighborhoods around the lake from your boat than you do as you drive the country roads in the area.

Spring is a time of clear skies providing beautiful sunrises and spectacular sunsets.  The sky and water are often filled with color.  Sometimes it is soft pastels; pinks, violets, buttery yellows and at other times we witness the glory of vivid oranges and reds along with hot pinks.  these are the things we look forward to and appreciate time and again.

(Look, Mom, no filters, no Photoshop, no hands...just another breathtaking sunset viewed from my home.)

Natural Sunset at Lake Anna, VA

In the past couple of days, I've passed alpacas, goats, cows and horses looking just a tad bit more energetic, some even downright frisky.  They sense the time of year and realize that warm weather is here to stay, the days are longer, and the sun is brighter.  Like us, they know spring is here.

The sky seems bluer and the clouds even more billowy.   Grass is turning greener and leaves are popping out on the trees while daffodils, hyacinths, and tulips are making their welcomed appearance.  Homes that have been looking a little stark and beginning to soften with the advent of blooming flowers and shrubs.

Hickory Landing House with FlowersBest of all are the smiles on people's faces.  Our winters are not bad at all but no matter how mild the winter is there is such happiness when we realize spring is really here.  Spring is Mother Nature's gift to us.

Now give yourself a gift.

Visit Lake Anna this spring.

You may love it just as I do!

Kathleen, this makes me want Spring and Summer more than ever. Is that a sand bar the boats are parked on and swimming? We have one on our lake too and it is great fun.

Marchel...The top picture is of a sunset.  It is not my home but I couldn't resist taking and using the photo.  It looks so appealing.  I do get sunsets like this also.

Cheers,

Carole...We thoroughly enjoy it all year long but there is something magical about springtime.  Much of it is the anticipation of fun to come.

Kathleen, This is a beautiful place. My grandparents own houses on two different lakes here in Georgia, and this is much of where I grew up, learning how to fish, swim, "right" a flipped canoe (which is no easy task, even for an adult), and explore. Your post takes me back to the days of my youth!

I have a handle on your market!!!
I love the picture of the sunset.  I almost like the sunsets as well as I do the sunrises.  At times maybe they are better as the day has wound down, the stars are becoming visible, and I can believe that maybe my phonee won;t ring until the morning has been here for a while.  I love photography  also, but find that the picture never really encompasses the true feeling that was there when it was taken.  That sunset must have been awesome.  Thank you for making it available to the rest of us.

Wayne...So glad you like the photo of the sunset.  I took that from my deck.  I have literally hundreds of sunset pictures.  I keep a camera handy and sometimes as I come down our driveway and see the sun setting (this is usually in the winter when it sets earlier) I'm out of my car with the camera anxious to get some shots.  While in the house I'm usually in our sunroom and invariably I watch the sun setting.  Again I am often out the door onto the deck for more and more photos.  It is an endless passion of mine.

Picture of Real Estate Agent: L. Wayne Denton Re/Max Greater Atlanta I have a handle on your market!!!! ( Magnolia Signature Homes)  I wanted to share your photo with readers as I think your slogan is wonderful.  Guess you'll never be able to shave those "handles" of yours.

Thanks for your comment and it is true that photos never do justice to a scene but it does help to conjure up the feeling that you are witnessing it.  We just have to let out imaginations run away with us.

Take care
