Santa Claus Express
Ride with Santa Claus on the Midland Railway’s “Santa Claus Express”!! Ride to Norwood and back and see Santa Claus on the train in his own specially decorated 1898 passenger car! Each passenger gets hot cocoa and a homemade sugar cookie during the trip. Listen to Christmas music and enjoy the reading of favorite Christmas stories by our local story teller! What a great way to get into the Christmas Spirit!! Passenger Fares: Adults $18 and Children $12. December 6-14th. Visit midlandtrailway.org for details.
Santa Claus at Zona Rosa
Come and visit the jolly ole elf himself! Sitting in his traditional storybook scene at Zona Rosa, Santa Claus will listen to children’s Christmas wishes every day starting Dec. 6 through December 24th.
A variety of photo packages are available for purchase for both the princess and Santa. Personal cameras may not be used unless in conjunction with a professional photo purchase.
2014 Breakfast with Santa & Mrs. Claus
Santa and Mrs. Claus Are Coming to Powell Gardens
9 a.m.-noon December 13 and 20
Join Santa and Mrs. Claus for a morning of fun at Powell Gardens. Festivities include a pancake breakfast by Chris Cakes, storytelling in front of a glowing fireplace and make-and-take crafts.

Breakfast at the North Pole

Spend a morning with your family at the North Pole! Parents and children will enjoy All You Can Eat Pancakes, Sausage Links and Juice from Chris Cakes. Kids can make a craft and professional pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be available for purchase. Tickets will be pre-sold for $5 at City Hall up until 5:00 p.m. on December 12th and at the door the day of for $6. Children under 1 year are free!

The smell of wood burning fireplaces, period music and authentic decorations, make this a “must attend” holiday experience. Whoville Holidays
Celebrate the season with the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who. You’re invited to their Whoville home to enjoy Whoville Holiday hospitality! Also, bring in three or more non-perishable canned goods for the “Help a Who” promotion benefiting Harvesters or a new, unwrapped children’s gift benefiting the Salvation Army.
Bring your camera: the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who will be present for photos between 10:30-11:30 a.m. and Noon-1:00 p.m.

Kansas City Parks’ Santa’s Wonderlands
December 12-14
Join family and friends at one of three local parks for a festive celebration of the holiday season! Events include live music, entertainment, light displays, and a visit from Santa Claus. Dates, times, and locations are as follows:
•December 12, 6-8 p.m.: Gillham Park
•December 13, 4-6 p.m.: Penguin Park
•December 14, 4-6 p.m.: Longview Tract
A Visit from St Nicholas at Shoal Creek Living History Museum (December 6 | 10 a.m.-4 p.m.)
Enjoy a visit with St Nicholas in the Thornton Mansion after taking a walking tour through the museum’s holiday decorated homes and log cabins which are brought to life with re-enactors in 19th century theme. Horse-drawn sleigh rides through the countryside will be provided 12-4 p.m.
Holiday Wild at the Kansas City Zoo
December 6th 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Zoo patrons will have an opportunity to meet Santa, participate in holiday activities, follow along on guided tours, and more. Friends of the Zoo (FOTZ) members can arrive between 8:30 and 10 a.m. for an exclusive breakfast snack and meet-and-greet with Santa!
A Country School Christmas
December 6th 1-3 pm
Santa Claus, carols, and local storyteller Joyce Slater will bring their holiday cheer to the Lanesfield Historic Site, 18745 S Dillie Road, Edgerton, Kansas (Johnson County). Santa will give out holiday treats and listen to the holiday wishes of visitors alongside holiday caroling from the Edgerton Elementary Rainbow Connection Choir. Visitors will also have the opportunity to write letters to Santa and make an ornament to take home.
Holiday Party at the North Kansas City Community Center
December 5th 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
Get in the holiday spirit and celebrate with your neighbors at the North Kansas City Community Center! There will be entertainment, reindeer games, arts and crafts projects, and holiday goodies. Children will visit and take pictures with Santa, and each pre-registered youth ages 15 and under will receive a toy!
KC Southern Holiday Express Visits Union Station
December 18-21
Your kiddos are bound to have fond memories of coming to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus, then hopping aboard the Holiday Express at Christmas time. The Southern Holiday Express (or Rudy, as it is known by many of its visitors!) is parked on the north side of Union Station and guests can walk through the train cars decorated in creative holiday paraphernalia. This event is free and open to the public; no tickets are required.

Santa’s Crayola Christmas Land
Crown Center Shops, Level 1 Showplace
Children can play on super-sized Crayola products, while waiting to tell Santa all their holiday wishes. Santa is in residence November 28 through December 24. The Crayola Christmas Land play area is open through December 31. FREE admission. Photos with Santa are available for a fee.
