Defining Gratitude and Goals Contest was a success! Not only can other members read for years to come but these topics give the member an eye into ‘self’ that will help in business as well as personal relationships as well.
I want to give the Judges particular attention and as you read past the Winners of the Contest…you will understand why this contest is VERY special to me as well.
Jeff Dowler has done all of us the honors with (again) being the Lead Judge for our contest and he did a wonderful job keeping it all together and deserves a HUGE THANK YOU!!! He has walked along side of me throughout a few years of my contests and I can’t thank him enough!!
The other Judges were Tammy Lankford, Tom Arsingstall and Debe Maxwell, who along with Jeff worked hard and diligently to read EVERY entry and come up with the top place winners !!! I can never thank them enough either. PLEASE KEEP READING!
I want to personally thank all my judges for this contest. The especially took all the time it takes with the hard task of reading 94 entries. They also took much of their time in the excruciating task of making sure their top picks had followed each and every rule and come up with the winners.

In my NON ENTRY for this contest, I wrote about a particular situation. I am grateful for Bob 
Stewart (former LONGTIME Community Evangelist for ActiveRain) allowing me into his family and particularly his son Kelan. Long Story Short (famous line) he allowed me to be a ‘Gramma Sally in Hawaii’ to his son Kelan. I had no grandchildren until September of 2011 when our miracle Grandson arrived by C-Section. I still send Kelan Birthday and Christmas Boxes….and GRATEFUL what that experience has taught me.
I especially am filled with gratitude for what happened now…during this very contest. My 2nd grandson arrived 3 weeks early (we had a scheduled C-Section for December 8th and baby just wouldn’t have it!) on November 25, 2014. It was a particularly hard labor for my petite 4’10” (usually 90 lbs) daughter and she ended up nearly passing out with the loss of blood. In turn she had a blood transfusion and recovery took two hours.
I had it all planned out. OR so I thought…..I had my ticket for Dec. 4th, the contest would be over and I would have read the majority …if not all of the entries. As it turned out, I didn’t have much time to do anything during that last week of November….and I arrived the morning after Baby Levi entered into this world on November 25.
It has been an ‘experience’ to say the least but I want to especially thank Tammy Lankford, who supported me during those crucial hours of ‘not knowing’ what was going on with my daughter….until I reached my destination; cradling my new grandson Levi and hugging my 3 year old Grandson Brayden. Most importantly, to see with my own eyes that my daughter was indeed all right….just like she said.
