The weekend is here again and it doesn’t look like we’re going to get any snow or really cold weather. Tons going on from shopping, Holiday Run/Walks and Santa is going to be everywhere in Madison this weekend. Be good he might be watching you.

 

Have Breakfast with Santa

It’s time for Spring Greens Country Christmas with arts & crafts shows & fireworks. There’s something for everyone at the annual Country Christmas including Tree Lighting, Caroling, German-style Christmas Market, Angel Card readings, Breakfast with Santa, holiday crafts and goodies, horse-drawn wagon rides, Holiday Tour of Homes, Holiday Luncheon & Fashion Show, Spring Green Library book and bake sale, free movies for kids, music, Christmas shopping & tasty things to eat. All-day events Saturday lead up to a gathering in the North Municipal Park for a spectacular, choreographed fireworks show.

Visit Santa’s Workshop

Time to celebrate the holidays the old-fashioned way at Stoughton Victorian Holiday Celebration. This Arts & Craft show in Stoughton’s Historical district will have Santa’s Workshop, Nutcracker Ballet, illuminated Fire Truck parade, Carolers, a Cookie walk, Quilt show, a 5k-2k Run/Walk, Norwegian dancers, Santa store & Breakfast with Santa. Lots of kids activities & great holiday shopping.

Catch the Holiday Spirit

It’s time for the 9th annual Atwood Winnebago Winter Festival. Explore an art & crafts fair featuring local artisans and browse artist receptions and gallery openings. Enjoy live music, free samples, and treats for your furry friends! Each participating business will host a door prize. Businesses will also be collecting food for the Fritz Food Pantry at the Goodman Community Center. Cash and non-perishable contributions welcome!.

Watch Santa Run 

Run Santa Run, this Costume 5km to benefit local charities. The 5k run is the perfect way to prepare for the Holiday’s! The race will be held at the Capital Square in Madison, WI and post-race festivities will take place at the Masonic Temple, also located in Madison. Will you run as a Santa or an elf?  Come enjoy a post-race party with food and drinks! Bring a toy for Toys for Tots to help benefit children!

Trains, LEGOs & Poinsettias

Open this weekend is Olbrich’s Holiday Express. Large-scale model trains wind through a holiday scene overflowing with hundreds of poinsettias and fresh evergreens. This year Olbrich features a world of LEGOcreation! Elaborate models of space cruisers, pirate ships, Victorian homes and more take up residence along the tracks in an exciting display of engineering and imagination.
