Pay it forward this holiday season

It is amazing sometimes how doing the right thing and offering a helping hand can continue getting paid forward some times.

On Tuesday, Tom Fitzsimmons with Preview of Homes TV shot a video for me at one of my listings.  I took my photos while he was shooting the video as usual taking advantage of his extra lights for the interior of the home.

When I was making my flyers, I noticed my photos didn't turn out very good for some reason, so I called Tom and asked a huge favor "Can I get the raw footage of the shoot so I can try to extract some still shots"?  We ended up meeting at Walmart when he was delivering a check from his church to buy food that his congregation was going to deliver to the needy.

We decided I could return it to him on Saturday there at his church, the Cathedral of the Rockies in Boise, while he was assembling the food baskets.

When I arrived on Saturday, they had already assembled all the baskets and had a few left over so he asked if I knew anyone that needed one.  I did, so I took one with me to deliver.  When I told my wife she mentioned another family who might need it even more so we delivered it there instead.  They weren't home at the time so we left it there.

When they got home, the  people saw the two baskets and figured it was a mistake so they contacted the church based on the simple letter that was included with the food basket in case someone needed it more.  That just confirmed that indeed, it was at the right place at the right time.

Kudo's to Tom Fitzsimmons and his church!  He helped me way beyond typical customer service. He served his community.  He help serve a needy family. In return, I hope this little bit of exposure brings him some good will back in return.

This holiday season, please take time to ackowledge the people in your life that are doing good works.  Pay it foreward!
