Renting a Home With Low Credit

A lot of people have trouble renting a home with low credit scores.

Application fees add up if you are turned down multiple times multiple times. If you are frustrated with your situation because of low credit scores, keep reading, You can often rent the home you want with just a little bit more documentation.

People are often willing to work with people who have trouble that is outside their control. Things like divorce, loss of a job or Medical bills. These often happen together to cause extra issues. How you are presented to the landlord is the key.

We have a five step program to show the landlord how you overcame adversity and show you as a success story. Included in your application package is a letter of explanation, a letter from past landlords showing good rental history and proof of income to support the rent. A good video on writing a letter of explanationcan be found here.We will help you write this all important letter. You are not alone in this process.

In the end, your landlord will know what happened, how you solved the problem, how your priorities have changed, you are saving money and you have a good job with benefits. It will show that what is on the credit report are scares from the past and not your current condition.

I clicked LIKE on your topic Doug Kenny because that's what we do.  In addition to primarily SALES, we handle our client's rentals.  When a tenant has a low credit score, we ask them to give their explanation and quite often we go ahead and accept them.  Sometimes, it DOES backfire on us. But, GENERALLY, people are good.

Good info, there are many more tricks.

I've helped many go from default properties into great rentals with not so good credit.

This is great work you do to help people. Credit scores are not a definitive characteristic of who we are, just part what life has thrown our way. It is how we handle situations that is part of who we are.
