Family Traditions are So Magical and Add to The Christmas Season!

Apricot Filled Cookies

This morning I decided to get busy and make a batch of homemade apricot filled cookies.

For as many years as I can remember my mother has always made these for Christmas.  Today the baton was passed and I made a batch and they turned out great.  (My mother was resting and not up to baking cookies).

I asked my mother this morning where she originally got the recipe and she shared that she got it from one of her aunts.  I asked her how old she was when she first made these and she told me that she was 14 years old.   So for 77 years my mother has been making and sharing these delicious cookies.

Ask questions ... find out who or why things get carried on from year to year.  Family traditions carried on from generation to generation help to make the season so magical.

Good afternoon Lisa Von Domek ... they did come out great and my mother was happy.  She did have constructive criticism so know she is feeling better.  Thank you for your kind words!
