A Great Hostess Gift with a Twist!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Marshall Enterprises

Here’s an easy and yummy hostess gift with a twist!

Chief Cook traditionally makes pretzels coated with almond bark for gifts, but found another neat idea….and I don’t know where she got it, but I am glad she did!!

Take a traditional pretzel and dip into melted bittersweet chocolate that has been melted in the microwave ….about 4 oz takes 1 to 2 minutes on high.  Dip half the pretzel into the chocolate and let it set on parchment paper for about three minutes….when you are done with that melt the white chocolate for 1 ½ to 2 minutes on high and dip again.

Oh, the sensation of sweet and salty does my heart good.  Enjoy!

Best, Ron

Ron, what a great recipe and love those sweet and salty snacks.  When I saw the word "Hostess" I thought Chief Cook might be doing her magic with some Twinkies!

I bet these look as good as they taste. Thanks for sharing such an easy recipe. You know I need easy recipes. I'm not that talented in the kitchen. It just seems that way, because I surround myself with people who are.

Dipped pretzels are my favorite and I have never tried to make them. I think that may change this year.

And if you beat the total crap out of some peppermint candies with a hammer and sprinkle the dust while the chocolate is not quite dry... extra yummyness.

This sounds delightful Ron, maybe you and chief cook can serve a few of these at the AR meet up that you are hosting in January.

My youngest daughter makes a variety of treats for holiday giving.  Your pretzel recipe sounds similar to what you describe.  They are delicious!
