Thanks Active Rain, I'm going to jump now!
Yes, finally after months of observation, I am ready to take the plunge - into blogging that is. I've spent quite a bit of time reading blogs, watching Active Rain videos and interacting with others here on Active Rain but the time has come to write my 1st blog!
It is kind of scary, stepping out into the unknown but as Bob Stewart said in one of his videos, "if you are not going to do it then...just don't come back". I know Bob is no longer here but that comment really stuck with me, so finally I'm just going to do it!
I originally stumbled upon Active Rain one day while searching for an answer to a question I had about Short Sales. Soon, I realized this site was not like other Real Estate sites. People here really care and want to help each other.
This is rare because, by it's nature, the Real Estate industry is very competitive. It has been my experience that most agents do not want to share their "secrets to success". Here at Active Rain it's different!
It is also really interesting to discover how Real Estate laws and procedures differ drastically from state to state and sometimes even within the same state, such as Northern and Southern California.
Active Rain is not just a great place to reach other agents, clients may find you here too. I couldn't believe it but one day I received an e-mail message through my Active Rain account from an old client I had lost touch with. She wanted to buy an investment property. She said she was looking for me and found me on Active Rain!
It was then I realized what an amazing place we have here and how powerful the reach is. I want to thank you all for reading and commenting. I hope this will encourage another newbie to take the plunge too.
