Big Trouble in Little Naples Idaho

Big Trouble in Little Naples Idaho

Naples, IdahoThere are some things that happen in the kitchen that are worse than others.  You know what I am talking about.  Having your oatmeal water boiling only to find that you do not any Quaker Oats left.  Or a P&J sandwhich half made only to realize the jelly at the bottom of the jar is not enough to even cover the knife you are using to spread it.  Three items go to the top of the list for my kitchen's "Big Trouble in Little Naples Idaho.

#1 Finding no syrup after you have your pancakes cooked and buttered.  # 2 No milk if you DO have enough Quaker oats and they are indeed sitting and waiting for fruit, nuts and MILK.  And as I experienced just now while wanting to start another post. #3  No milk for poor mans 'MOCHA'.  At 2 in the morning this is not good.

LOL: One of those days, ha, Mark. I turned my Keurig on last week only to find out the box was empty.

Hi Mark, That seems to be a daily occurrence around here.  Especially the milk part.

Mark, it's the LITTLE things that are SO important--especially when you can't zip out your door and go a block away to pick up STUFF.

I feel for ya, man~

Pancakes without syrup... what a shame.   Unless you can find some honey or something, the only option is to float them in butter.

Always keep a few boxes of Parmelot (boxed milk)in the pantry. That solves one of these first world problems!

How could anyone ever have pancakes without syrup, that is almost sacrilegious.

Mark Don McInnes, Sandpoint , I can see that those things would be huge issues for me as well.  Luckily, Chief Cook keeps the larder well-stocked!

Mark: No milk for my morning tea tops my list. I did have pancakes with peanut butter on them last week and it was actually pretty good.

That would be a problem . . . . and bad way to start the day.

Good luck and success.

Many of us can relate to these issues. A little shopping may be a good idea to be well prepared for cold winter nights and holiday enjoyment.
