I love the Moonbean Cafe.
Located in a charming little house with a fabulous front porch in the middle of Briarcliff Manor, New York, The Moonbean Cafe is one of my favorite neighborhood haunts. I love to sit quietly and read or do work (there is free wi-fi of course) or, to meet up with a friend for some quiet conversation.
Owner Abby Wallace and her staff are always welcoming and cheerful and they know exactly what I want as soon as I walk in. Their iced coffees are particularly delicious and one of my favorites is Hawaiian Coconut - add some half and half and believe me, it's just like dessert! And when I want my sugar fix, her lemon coconut bars are absolutely scrumptious. Do you see a theme here? Yes, whenever I go to the Moonbbean I feel like I'm on a tropical vacation.
But one of the best things about the Moonbean Cafe is that puppies are allowed. In good weather, the neighborhood doggies congregate on the front porch with their owners in tow. Trust me, they play nicely with each other and one is more adorable than the next! And when the weather is cold, they sit quietly inside, vacuuming the floor whenever a crumb drops.
Located at 1123 Pleasantville Road in Briarcliff Manor, the Moonbean Cafe is a morning ritual for me, after a visit to the post office and the bank. I love taking my iced coffee on the road when I'm in a rush or, decompressing with something warm in the mid-afternoon. Sometimes I'll buy a pound of her delicious beans to bring as a gift to a special client - there is a grinder for every type of coffee maker!
Trust me, at the Moonbean Cafe it is love at first sip!
