I came across this link on Facebook and thought I would share. Here is a link and some info about the best places to see Christmas lights in the Fredericksburg area this holiday season.
It happened a week ago about 10 p.m., as I crisscrossed area roads to put together my 24th annual list of Grand Holiday Displays.
I was winding along White Oak Road in Stafford County, peering through my windshield to see what was casting the bright glow ahead.
As I rounded a turn, I realized the glow was that big white ball up in the sky—a full moon, suddenly visible above the tree line.
“Nice light indeed!” I thought as I pulled out my list to find my next stop along a Santa-like trip.
Today I’m sharing close to 50 of the most highly decorated homes and other structures hereabouts, as nominated by you, our readers.
Sadly, growth, traffic and the expansion of decorating now limits the new displays I include to Fredericksburg and the counties of Stafford and Spotsylvania. But there are great folks and great displays in this year’s list.
So, as I’m wont to say this time of year, grab Aunt Edna, some eggnog and your old “Der Bingle” Christmas tapes and get to some bright-light cruising!
