The covetted Paramount Fort Lauderdale Condo's broke ground recently creating another luxury condo tower in Fort Lauderdale. The building is where Howard Johnson's was one when it was damaged by the last hurricane. The land was purchased for $20 million in 2013 for around 2 acres of site.
The 95 Luxury Condominiums at the Paramount start around $1.2 million. They are spread throughout 18 floors and is expected to be done in late 2016 to 2017.
Over half of the tower is currently sold out. The tower is one of the cheapest buildings in terms of required deposit. With only 30% required as the deposit, the developer had the local buyers in mind, as most condo developments in South Florida required at least 50% down.
Over 7,700 condos have been completed or proposed over the last two years. There is a high demand and also a high pressure on the developers to attract the buyers to their units.
