Sandburg Elementary School History

This is a traditional school that takes pride in it's diverse student body. There are 30 different languages spoken in the homes of it's over 700 students. Because of the pride that is taken, the center court flys the flags of 30 nations. Sandburg is proud of their high attendance rate and the fact that they consistently score above 60% in the California Standards Test in mathmatics and literacy.

As part of Sandburg's excellent curiculum, the 4th & 5th graders get to participate in a weekly one hour class that teaches them in the area of music. All students participate in a character building program that encourages good citezenship skills and positive selfesteem.
