Hard work? Don't forget your loved ones!

By

Just a quick reminder... no matter how hard you work, how many hours you may have to put into the week... don't forget to have a nice dinner with your loved one(s).

After a long week, my wife reminded me of what's really important over dinner tonight... spending time with her and the children.  It seems that the children are growing up too fast, and sometimes I need to remember the big picture... why I work so hard in the first place: being able to enjoy time with my family.

Sometimes we prioritize other 'things' over the family, and in the end, what's it all about?

I guess I'm reflecting a bit on my life tonight, but I constantly remind myself this saying:

'A happy wife is a happy life'.

Jeff you can get caught up very easily in this business. Sometime it is hard to find a balance, but I love the flexibility in my schedule to be there for events I might not have missed with my children otherwise.

I was a single mom, and my kids are now grown & gone, and I would have never been able to keep the hours I do when they were growing. Now I can be entirely focused on building a business and a career, which I've never been able to do with such concentrated effort. I held the same kind of attention for raising my family, and have many wonderful memories and terrific kids--- so it all paid off. Hope this round will pay off as well! Thanks for the post.
