My sister-in-law likes to take a lot of time decorating for Christmas (as does me wife and they are both very good at it). This year, she (sister-in-law) did a different twist on the tree decorating their home in East Wenatchee. She started with the usually green faux tree. There were the normal lights and ornaments too, BUT she added 110 fotos of her family down through the years. Each had a hand made border/ frame and each was attached to the tree individually. The result was a beautiful tree that was a great conversation piece throughout the entire season. It was also a bit nostalgic when we gathered there on Christmas Eve to have loved ones that were no longer with us there for one more Christmas.  Here is a photo of the tree.

So for a different twist a tree could be based around different life events. Births , Weddings or just your family. It was a nice touch and one we all enjoyed very much! Next year will be a whole new theme, I am sure. But this one will always have a special place in our memories of Christmas Past...

Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to all!

Perrin- what a creative idea for a tree, and it makes it so much more personal.  i'd bet that everyone has fun gathering around the tree looking at all of the photos.
