For all six years that we’ve asked our readers this annual survey question, The Short North has won. Until now. Clintonville has managed to inch ahead of The Short North in 2014 to claim the top spot as the #1 neighborhood in Columbus.
Clintonville has always been a popular (and large) neighborhood in the city, with a diverse range ofhousing options, unique local businesses, and some of the better public schools in the district. In 2014, the neighborhood saw the addition of new restaurants, new growler shops, and even a new rollerderby skate shop. And a quick look at some of our other Best of 2014 results shows that the entire city agrees that Clintonville is home to the best movie theater, best grocery store, best specialty store, and bestfarmers market.
