There is Such a Thing as a Free Cruise in Vanuatu

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

The first several days at any resort are often best spent just getting acclimated. For me, that means crawling to the beach and staying there and later working up oneself to check out the pool. At this resort in Vanuatu, I have a pool on my deck, which overlooks the water, and a private path to my own little beach area, so I didn't have to move very far.

Around 6:25 PM when the sun finally sinks on the horizon, I was standing on my deck, sipping a glass of Shiraz and watching a boat from the resort return with passengers. Yeah, the sunset cruise. I had forgotten about it. I should do it. I made a reservation with Frederick for the following day. Except when I wandered down to the dock, I discovered nobody else had signed up. Which meant I got to enjoy a private cruise. It doesn't get any better than that!

You can read more and see photographs, one of which was shot by the captain of the catamaran, in my personal blog today at A Private Sunset Cruise in Vanuatu at Havannah Resort.

I remember one trip to Hawaii, where I was able to pick up papayas from the ground for free.  I love them so very much, and ate at least 2 each day.  Then there was the 5 hour flight home, where I didn't come out of the airplane bathroom for about half the flight.

Put 40 years of experience to work for you

Hi Sheila: Yes, it was a blast. I just pretended that I owned the boat and all that  I could see before me, and in a way it was true because nobody else was around.

Hi Kevin: I do not understand your reply. CCC. To me that means closing cost credit.

H Myrl: I was a little afraid I may suffer from a similar episode when I asked the staff to bring me a plate of diced chilies because the spicy shrimp just was NOT spicy enough.

Gabe and Conrad: Well, you should read the following day's blog about my kava experience. It was interesting and not at all what I had prepared for.

Hi Joan: Enjoying myself is a fairly easy effort in Vanuatu.

That sunset cruise sounds delightful.  And if I lived in a place like Vanuatu, I wouldn't be inclined to travel either.  What's the point when you live in paradise.  Nobody wants to slum it on vacation.
