The Marbelz's decided to build a house 33' 6" x 45' 6" which also includes an offset for the family room which is an additional 5'x15'.
If the cost to construct the house is $128.50 per square foot, how much would it cost to build the house ?
The answer is posted below the wildlife photo. Please take your time.
A. $205,503.63
Lets find out what the cost of the house is first by multiplying 33' 6" (33.5) times 45' 6" (45.5) and we find that we have 1524.25 square feet for the house.
Let's find the cost by multiplying 1524.25 times the cost per square foot of $128.50 and we now have a total of $195,866.125 or rounded $195,866.13.
Now let's find out what the cost of the offset family room is by finding the number of square feet in the family room by multiplying 15 times 5 to derives a total of 75 square feet.
Let's multiply 75 square feet tims the cost of the construction per square foot, $128.50, and we have a total cost of $9637.50 for the family room.
Finally, we add the cost of the house, $195,866.13, to the cost of the family room, $9637.50, and we have a total cost for the house of $205,503.63.
