I get this question asked often. Many people lean to wanting to wait for the Spring to list their home... I feel this is the worst thing you can do. Your competition of other listings on the market is large, everyone wants to sell then. Many buyers that are out and about are looky loos, they are out wasting time and enjoying the nice spring weather. I have always believed winter is the best time to list, competition is low and the serious buyers are the ones out tromping in the snow to find their dream home!

Anytime is a great time to sell. Searched Destin today for homes under $200,000. There were 4. One waiting for signature to come back from seller...so sold. One an Ocwen foreclosure. Don't know if you have any experience with Ocwen but they are being sued for 12 with a B...Billion Dollars so I won't even show it. that leaves TWO....Think it is a great time to sell if that what your home is worth.

Agreed!! One town I work only has about 5 homes between 0-150k... seems like a great time to list to me!! And also a great time to flip some homes in the town!!!

Great post Trisha! Anytime is a good time to buy or sell in my opinion as all eras have their advantages. You are right serious buyers are looking when others are waiting for Spring time deals, and other Realtors may be more focused on the holidays during the winter.
