You're invited to the commemoration ceremony of the opening of the next phase of the Jeffrey Open Space Trail. This will take place at 10 am on Saturday, January 10.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony, will be put on by the City of Irvine and the Irvine Company.
This new section of the trail consists of a 5-foot-wide decomposed granite trail, an 11-foot-wide paved trail, 3 pedestrian bridges and 2 under-crossings. These under-crossings allow uninterrupted biking, jogging and walking connectivity through the Villages of Woodbury, Cypress and Stonegate.
Along the trail, you'll see plaques and monuments and interesting timelines in Irvine's history along the route.
The jogging, walking and bicycle trail, is 3.5-miles long, and can be found along Jeffrey Road between Portola Parkway and the i5 freeway. This is another important addition to Irvine's vast permanent open-space program.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will will take place at 255 Visions, Irvine., where the Cypress Community Park is located.
This is a free event and no reservations are needed. After the ceremony, everyone is invited to jog, walk, or bike the trail, and also to take part in a scavenger hunt, and a bunch of trail activities, including giveaways.

Ha ha, Andrew. I just saw that you're in what's probably the furthest US town away from Irvine, CA!
I hope to see you there, but won't hold my breath waiting for you.
