So Many Ways To Pay It Forward
I'm sure most of you can think of a number of ways to help in your community, nationally or even internationally. That's why we are part of organizations and volunteer our time to benefit others. Here are just 2 things that we are doing or plan to do in 2015 to Pay It Forward.
100+ Women Who Care
This month I learned about a wonderful organization from my friend and fellow blogger, Susan Emo. 100+ Women Who Care is an organization (with local "clubs") that meets quarterly, asks for a donation of $100 per quarter ($400 for each woman for the year), nominates and selects a charity and then donates all of that money to that cause. Of course, that's a quick synopsis.
I was so inspired, I reached out to my local chapter and today I received an invitation to attend their next meeting on January 15th. I plan to attend and get involved!

Parker Task Force/Food Bank
Rich was asked to be Santa for the Parker Police Department's "Cram the Cruiser" food drive event in early December. All of the food collected was given to the Parker Task Force/Food Bank.
We visited the food bank to see how we could involved. We learned that they don't need any more bodies (volunteers). They are well staffed. There's always a list of non-perishable food items and school supplies needed. What we really learned is that THEIR dollars, can go further than OUR dollars. So, it's better to give them a check vs. a bag of groceries.
In 2015, we'll be looking for fundraising ideas so that we can bring them a check to truly give them the best benefits for those in need!
