Welcome to the 4th Annual BIG Blog Jumpstart Challenge
Think of the 2015 BIG Blog Jumpstart Challenge as a 28-day Mini-Mester. We all love to learn - right? The Challenge brings you the foundations of the AR world and presents the opportunity for you to learn new skills. Yes, as always, “new” takes some focus and some time. From then on, YOU own the skill.
The technical knowledge from the visuals (#4) will be a long-term benefit for you.
Writing a Blog post every day will become a habit by the end of January.
Put in your best effort and your future Blogging will be easier.

1 - START - 12:01 am PST - Sunday, January 4th
END on Saturday, January 31st at 11:59 pm PST
14 assigned topics & 10 topics for you to choose = 24 Posts Total
ONLY 1 post per day counts for BONUS POINTS for Challenge.
Posts written earlier or later do not count.
(Special Circumstances? Just write to Kerrie and she’ll be glad to help you sort it out!)
2 - YOU must write the posts yourself - not your grandmother, father-in-law, assistant, secretary or even your brilliant dog or cat or bird. Re-blogs do not count.
Pay Attention to Lenn Harley (VA), RESPECT COPYRIGHT AT ALL TIMES!
3 - POSTS - one 200 word minimum post a day for 24 of the 28 days - including one each about the Community Guidelines and the Weltanschauung.
4 - ALL POSTS MUST include at least one visual element*. Use a drawing, a graph, an icon, a photo, a slide show or a video. Experiment! Be creative!
Use the Challenge as an opportunity to STRETCH your horizons - try something!
REMEMBER - If you use something developed by someone else -
CITE THE ORIGIN to avoid Copyright Infringement.
5. COMPLETE EACH of the Following Requests:
a) One post about an idea from the Weltanschuung that most resonates for you.
b) One post featuring a Community Guidelines concept or two that you like.
c) Four posts that are Market Reports - perhaps try a graph if you never did one?
NOT Selling Real Estate? Mortgage, Law, Home Inspections, Flooring, Staging, Copywriting or any one of the many other related AR Member fields?
Alternative: c) Four posts highlighting TRENDS in your business field.
d) Four posts about occasional Local Events - such as Farmers Markets, Block
Parties, Parades or Civic Events - current or future - opportunities for fun!
e) Four posts that feature permanent attractions such as a zoo, a museum, a
sports center, a library or music venues in your area.

a.) Videos - Here are links for video options - WISTIA, Vimeo (tutorial), VIMEO website, Smilebox, YouTube , a classic Steve Harris YouTube tutorial Part One and Part Two, and finally, a set of tutorials from Eva, Part Two (2014) (over 1,100,000 views!) and Part One (2013).
b.) Slideshows - Use your own computer programs or one of these Windows Movie Maker, Animoto, PowerPoint, Flickr or Picasa.
c.) Graphs - Prepare a Graph using your own computer programs such as Excel, as explained here in a tutorial. Other graph-making programs include Graph, ChartGO, Create A Graph, or Graphs Made Easy.
d.) Photos - Check your own computer’s Photo Editor software or try one of these Aviary or iPiccy or Photofunia.
e.) Icons – Lots of sites offer free icons but be careful of their cookies. You might try IconFinder, Wikimedia Commons, Open Clip Art.
YES - this is your Opportunity! Learn those graphic techniques that you promised yourself to learn!
