Happy New Year's to everyone! I have always enjoyed New Year's because it gives me the opportunity to think about my goals. In some ways, I'm a very much a long term planner. At other times, I live from moment to moment. My worst habit is procrastinating. Yet breaking a bad habit, such as procrastinating is hard. You can’t see it. You can’t throw it away. You can’t really count how many times you procrastinate every hour or every day.
So, I’ve come up with an idea that I’ll experiment with. I have a list of things that I want to do today – such as writing a blog post and processing some photographs. Yet, I found myself starting to rationalize why I shouldn’t sit down at the computer and just process the pictures or write the blog post.
I thought about this picture of my horse. She just took off running and snow is flying everywhere. She is a vision of power and movement. She got from point A to point B very fast. Maybe that is what I should do when I find myself procrastinating and trying to rationalize why I don’t have time to do something. I should just run and do it.
So….here is my blog and along with a picture for the day.
I wish you each the best in accomplishing your New Year’s resolutions/goals.
Sincerely,
Sondra Meyer
