Successful people use many tools and develop habits and rituals that they feel will get them ahead or help them stay focused. Winston Churchill woke up at 7am and ate his breakfast in bed every morning while catching up with the news. Beethoven had a 60 bean cup of coffee precisely at dawn. President Bill Clinton adopted a habit of sleeping only 5-6 hours a night because a professor at Georgetown University once mentioned that the most successful people need the least amount of sleep.
However, not many people think of Hypnosis as a way of climbing the ladder of success. James Braid (1795 - 1860) was the founder of hypnotherapy and is responsible for coining the phrase "hypnotism". Hypnosis can create a highly relaxed state of inner concentration and focused attention for patients. It can also help patients reduce stress and have positive expectations about the outcomes of situations. Hypnosis has been used to help individuals lose weight, stop smoking, control substance abuse, and overcome fear based phobias. It's even now being used on soldiers returning from the battle field to help prevent PTSD(Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).
Studies show that 5-10% of the population are highly susceptible to hypnotic suggestion, 60-70% are moderately susceptible, and the remaining group is minimally susceptible. So with all that being said, what is success worth to you? If someone told you that with a few hypnotherapy sessions you would venture in to the recesses of your mind and unlock untapped potential that could very well break open the gates of your business in ways you never knew were possible would you do it? Would the stigma of hypnosis be enough to keep you away from trying this alternative therapy?
