By
Real Estate Agent with Tierra Antigua Realty

After months of work, I finally made it. First Realtor approved by the FAA. So happy. Made National News as well.

ABC Report - Why this guy in Arizona can fly a drone and you can't

I have used a drone and actually I see that you are holding the same one I believe I have...Is that the Phantom II ?  I have just recently purchased the GOPRO4 as well so that I can have the clearest of videos out there.  Now tell me more about this FAA approval and what you had to do to gain their approval.

From my quick perusal of the Exemption Docket, it looks like you had to ask for 15 seperate exemptions.  Wow.  You could have been half way home to getting a mortgage approval!  HA!  Just kidding, I'm sure it was a lot of work and I'm also sure it will be worthwhile as you'll certainly have a competitive advantage for a while.  Probably a long while! Good luck!

Congratulations!

I just read about you in C.A.R. magazine. You made life for many professionals who want to use drones for business much easier.

But I still do not understand that tricky request: the operator of a drone have to be a licensed pilot. That is still one of restrictions?

Thank you Inna. Yes the FAA requires  certified pilot and will always do so. That may change several months down the road. Which is why I am not spending $5,000 to $10,000 to get a Sport or Private Airman Certificate. At $100 an hour I can pay my pilot to fly 50-100 flights. If you want to join us you can click here to get everything you need for a fraction of what Attorneys charge. You will find dozens of qualified Pilots to work for you.
