That Darn Kerrie LaGuardia is an Angel
Some of you may have read my distress call the other day about not being able to unsubscribe to blog post comments on two different post. Twice on different days, I filled out the AR contact form and unlike the old days of ActiveRain, I never got a response.
I spent two days trying to unsubscribe to comments on two different post and no matter what I tried, my email kept getting a flurry of notifications. It was driving me up a wall.
Desperately I searched for an AR contact number, and again, unlike the old days of AR, there is no contact number to be found ANYWHERE on the AR site. So I shot an email to ANYWHERE on the AR site. So I shot an email to BLiz Spear to see if they had a contact number. No luck there but Bill of BLiz contacted someone else and the phone number they had was no good either. I ended up getting a recording trying to sell me a condo or something like that.
Enter Kerrie LaGuardia
I knew this wasn't Kerrie LaGuardia's department but I reached out to her anyway to help me STOP THE MADNESS and within minutes, she unsubscribed me to comments on both blogs and I haven't received a notification from either blogs since. Kerrie YOUR ROCK.
I'm one of those people that believe in going through the chain of command first, so I made my best efforts before going to what I consider the top of our food chain: The Community Manager. That's a rule of thumb for me.
So What's the Lesson Here
Well for me the lesson is never ever subscribe to comments again. If I can remember, I'll just check back on the post and view additional comments as BLiz Spear and Tammy Lankford suggested.
