Trophy Turkey & Whitetail Habitat in the Hills of Buffalo County Wisconsin

Buffalo County is a Wildlife paradise stretching through the Coulee Region between Eau Claire County and the Mississippi River.

The Coulee type hills in this part of the state are an area where the glaciers bypassed and  we find extensive Oak forests on the hills with farmland in the valleys.  This all adds up to some prime habitat for Oak loving wildlife like Whitetail Deer and Turkeys.

Our clients at Woodland Management Service own land here for the bountiful wildlife and for the quality Oak timber.

Most of this 200 thousand acres of forest land is Oak with 150 thousand acres of Oak forests which provide premium deer and turkey habitat along with timber income.  nick cruising timber

These forests are not only good for producing income for our clients and great habitat for Deer and Turkeys, but it also provide good habitat for many other wildlife like Bears, Grouse, and more.

If you are interested in purchasing land in Buffalo County or if you already own some and would like to learn more about how to improve this land, give me a call, our Foresters and Wildlife Specialists can help.

Good morning Bob. The resurgence of the turkey population here in Tennessee is a huge success story. 30 years ago, it was rare to see one. Now, they are all over the place.

I love your local posts Bob because your photos always remind me of my Dad and the time I spent with him at his hunting lodge in Maine...

You certainly are the one I would call if I were looking to buy in your neck of the woods... Happy Day

I bet it is so nice to get out with the wildlife and enjoy all that nature has to offer.  I had 6 deer cross the road in front of me yesterday as I was driving to the bank.  They all just looked at me like they were saying "Are you going to stop?".  I stopped and they crossed gracefully.
