Tip of the Week: How are you? (That is the question.)

Make sure your clients can find you.

 

More specifically: make sure your domain name is everywhere.

Promote your AccelerAgent website as often as possible including, but not limited to: business cards, email signatures, posters, billboards, and yes – even your voicemail greeting. (i.e.- “Hi! Thanks for calling. Sorry, I missed your call. Please visit my website www.acceleragent.com for immediate assistance”).

Remember, every listing, neighborhood alert, and email from your AccelerAgent Toolkit directs people back to your website.
 
Ask yourself: "Am I doing everything I can to make sure that people know my website domain name (a.k.a- your website URL)?"
 
Do you remember the real estate business before the Internet?
What did you do to stay in touch with people?
You called them on the phone, right? Or set up a time to visit with them?
 
Technology is not here “in place of” personal relationships. It cannot be a replacement for human warmth and genuine care for contacts, clients, and leads. However, it is there to support it. Some people prefer to be e-mailed. Some people prefer texts. Some people prefer phone calls. Technology makes this easier. Or it is a more convenient way to keep in touch with people after that face-to-face interaction.
 
Agents rely on referrals. But – can we expect people to refer us if we have not reached out to them, or if they don’t know our domain name? Can we expect people to remember how to spell our names? What are we doing to remind them of our domain name and the inherent humanity of our business?
 
So, e-mail, call, or text 5 people today: “How are you?”
Yes- it can be that short and to the point.
Ask them questions. Inquire about their life. Refer to any notes you may have stored about them in your CRM. Ask them what they are interested in, in regards to their neighborhood.
 
You cannot expect referrals. You have to earn them. You cannot expect people to remember the spelling of your name. However, we can reasonably hope that they will remember your domain name if you keep in touch with them.
 
It all starts with “How are you?”
 
That said – continue using Internet tools that keep you top-of-mind with everyone AND that equip you with the relevant information you need to meet their needs.
