Tax Time is Rolling Around Again – Seniors Get Some Free Help Through AARP!

 

Seniors and low-income individuals can get free help through AARP Tax-Aide starting February 11 and going through April 10th.  IRS certified Tax Aide volunteers will be available to help with volunteer counselors from 9 am to 12 noon Wednesdays and Fridays.  Call the Center to schedule an appointment at 762-497-8900. 

 

You will need your 2914 state and federal tax returns, W-2s, 1099s, SSA-1099 forms and any other income and/or tax documents for 2014. 

 

If you want your refund to be directly deposited, please bring your checkbook as they will need to enter routing and bank account codes on the tax forms. 

 

Call early because the spots fill up very quickly.

Good morning Ron. I'm sure many seniors will appreciate the free help with their taxes.  Wish ours were free.  Our tax accountant is good but she's expensive.

That's a valuable tax help resource AARP is providing.  I agree there is a need for this in much of the senior community which has financial challenges.
