Monday morning "TWITTER"

Good Monday morning all-Often times Monday is a day that people need motivation after the weekend. On a Monday when it is raining and dreary with a forecast for freezing rain even more so. Most of you that follow me know I am a huge bird watcher and lover and have spent a lot of time and effort to attract my fine feathered friends to my yard.

Well I had my own motivation on this dreary Monday watching the antics and listening to the "TWITTER" of all the birdies fueling up early this morning for the good wet nasty day outside. Seeing my fav birds the cardinals and even seeing after a long absence/ A female bluebird. There are a number of feeders and plenty of food for them and so it was fun seeing all the activity. I captured some decent shots.  Wishing you all a super Monday and hope you find your own motivation for your Monday.

Waiting their turn

My fav bird the CARDINAL

A "fast" hard to capture "Tufted titmouse"

The view from afar where there is sunflower seeds and suet and more activity

There were a ton of birdies today and there always is when the weather is nasty. Lots of the winter finches and other finches as well as juncos. I thought I had captured them but they were too fast and camouflaged. It took me quite a while to capture what I did. It is more fun just to watch.  I do have a bird cam which I need to use and then figure out how to get video of them uploaded.

That's a lot of birds.  We see a few at time, but I guess our dogs keep many from getting to close

You're a good neighbor to those birds, Sharon!  Where would they be without your feeder!

I've always been envious of those who have Cardinals as part of their bird life. We don't have them here in Sacramento!

Sharon, our neighbors were up last weekend, and said to Larry how much fun the "free entertainment" was with all of the birds that I'm attracting with our birdseed and suet. The sweet kitty that is hanging around has been eating some of the birdseed/fallen suet, too...I am having a devil of a time trying to get anywhere close to it...it's going to be a struggle to find it a home.

One of my favorite and most popular "feeding spots"!

Hi, Sharon. I love cardinals and all birds really. We don't have cardinals in CO. I grew up in Iowa and Illinois and we had a lot of cardinals there.

As you know I also love watching the birds. I have noticed that we don't have many of them in my area. I blame all of the feral cats. It's not really the cats' fault. They are just trying to survive. But I'm doing my part by trapping and getting the cats to the local animal shelter.
