Don't trash your leads!

We've all heard that real estate is a numbers business.  Those who survive are successful at generating a large number of leads and are also successful at capturing those leads and converting them into buyers.

Converting your unqualified leads into qualified buyers through credit repair means you'll close more real estate deals.

Think about it.  When you get the news that your newest and hottest lead has just been turned down for a loan, don't trash the lead!  Instead refer them to Credit Builders Inc. 

If you do, 1 of 3 things will happen:

•1.      Some of those people won't follow through and they do become dead leads. 

          Oh well, you can't win them all.

•2.      More, though, will follow through by signing up for credit repair and increase your sales by      purchasing  a home from you 6 to 12 months later. 


•3.      Many others will sign up for credit repair and be ready to buy from you within only 3 months. 


It's simple really.  If you want to close more deals, refer your unqualified buyers to credit repair.  It's better than trashing the lead!

Pamela:  This all sounds like a great idea, but first you need a reliable loan officer who will put in the time to actually implement a credit repair program with potential buyers.  Good loan officers like that are few and far between.  Great idea, though... thanks for sharing.

Credit Repair is very time consuming and actually risky professionally for a loan officer to just dabble in.  That's why a loan officer that I had worked a lot, Shayne Sherman,, and I started Credit Builders Inc. 

We designed the company specifically to help home buyers and to keep the buyer connected with the refering loan officer and or real estate agent.

We started the business over a year ago.  We took it slowly to make sure that the systems we have in place work--and they do.

 We have a staff in place who signs up clients, monitors and communicates their progress, and conducts the credit repair.  The rates are very reasonable as our goal is to make money through more real estate transactions.  You should check it out at

I think it is so important that as real estate professionals, we look at all aspects of converting buyers into leads.  Some are ready much faster than others, but isn't a steady steam of buyers down the road always a good idea?  Pam

Welcome to AR Pamela, and congratulations on starting a new group.  Does this sound like I know Pamela?

Yes, Indeed I do!  Pam was my REALTOR when I bought my home, and one of her partners in Credit Builders Inc, Shayne Sherman was my mortgage loan officer as well.  I was not part of the credit repair company, I was however, partnered with Pam in my Real Estate Career for a time, until she recently was promoted into Manager of our Prudential One Realty Goshen, Indiana office.  Congrats on the promotion!

Now, the reason for my post, besides bragging that I know and am affiliated with both of them.

As a REALTOR, I have had customers calling about properties I had listed and were not able to qualify because of their credit.  I referred them to Credit Builders Inc. and sometimes as soon as two months later I was able to start showing them homes.  I have a pending right now that is a recent credit repair "graduate".  I already have closed on others and am awaiting graduation on even more!  I am a believer in this program and especially Credit Builders Inc. for several reasons:

  1. They have returned to me, the customers I have sent them.  Those clients are attached to ME, and Pam and Shayne's integrity sends them back when they are ready.
  2. I receive updates as to the status of their credit repair and I am able to call them and congratulate them on sticking with the plan and doing their part.  This keeps me front and center in their minds, AND it has shown them that the resources I have will enable them to buy a home when they didn't think they could.
  3. I have received referrals from the happy graduates.
  4. It is easy to become a Preferred Partner of Credit Builders Inc, and I have benefited from happy clients that tell their friends about Credit Builders Inc and they sign up-without a REALTOR, and because I am a Preferred Partner and I am in their area, I get the referral when they are graduated.
  5. I advertise in our local Elkhart County, Indiana Homes & Lifestyle Real Estate Magazine that I can help them buy a home even with low credit scores with Credit Repair because I am a Preferred Partner!
