Driving home last night I saw the telltale signs that severe weather was on it's way - rows of ghostly white lines down the road. When it's cold enough and the forecast is for icy or snowy weather the Virginia Department of Transportation department pretreats the roads to prevent the ice and snow from bonding to the road making it easier to remove. In season's past it has helped get the roads clearer, and if you understand a little chemitry it makes sense.
The weather forecasters were calling for a wintry mix to hit the Richmond Virginia area and it did. When we woke up this morning most of the local schools were on a 2 hour delay. Then slowly but surely schools started to close for the day. My wife, a teacher, was probably rejoicing as much or more than the students. As usual I headed out to start my day and drop my son off at daycare so he could see all of his friends.
For me this was just another day. I went into my office, attended a webinar, worked on some marketing material, scanned contracts, handled a call regarding a termite inspection, and did some business planning for the year. Just another day in real estate. Most people won't be looking at homes today, but I'm available if need be. I was working on some showing schedules for the weekend and coordinating with other agents. As a RVA HomePRO I'm more resilliant than the slogan on the James Farley Post Office in New York City:
"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."
My phone is always at the ready. As long as I have internet I can look up information. With my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 I can go anywhere to get a contract done. If you can get out I will get out and help you meet your real estate goals. I even will do real estate consultations over Skpye or Google Hangouts so we can meet face to face even if we are miles apart. I can start marketing your home even if the entire city is shut down because I start my marketing where nearly everyone starts their search, online.
If you are looking to sell your Glen Allen home today I can help you achieve your goal. Call, text or email me as your local RVA HomePRO who will help you achieve your goals, regardless the weather.
