Roadside color

Good morning everyone-One of the places I went on my trip in August-Sept last year was Pagosa Springs.  It was quite a long drive down there from Colorado Springs but it was a gorgeous day and the sun was shining so my road trip was very scenic. Now I didn't get pics of Pagosa Springs because I didn't take my camera into the Springs with me. However I did enjoy the scenery along the way. Colorado is indeed a very scenic state.

I captured these pics of wild flowers along the roadside I don't know what the yellow ones are but they were along the roadside for miles. Now I had a surprise when I had pulled over once to take pics. A police car had pulled up behind me. I am thinking. UH-OH what did I do. Turns out NOTHING. He stopped to make sure I was OK. That never happened before. It was very nice and a pleasant surprise.

I believe these are asters and also Kathy Streib's fav color

John-It was a beautiful spot and I can see why you and Debbie would enjoy it.

Michael-It is nice to look back at my trip and the warmer temps. Not liking this winter with the cold temps. I did enjoy miles of those yellow ones.

Beth-I never dreamed he was stopping to see if I was OK. I was touched by the thoughtfulness. It was a beautiful place. Looks for places to soak

Alexandra-I have seen roadside flowers before but not so many and for so many miles.

Hey Bob-I am not a realtor so that wouldn't have worked,

Sharon,  Colorado is a very Colorful State!  The summer time brings with it a flurry of colorful wildflowers throughout the state.  Glad you got some shots on your journey.

Sharon Lee ~ I love the photos, but I really like hearing "you" would have been helped by the police "if" you needed it

Back in 2009, I traveled to Utah, and drove along highway 12.  There were miles and miles of yellow roadside flowers growing.  They were called "Rabbit Brush."

Very colorful roadside flowers you found in Colorado Sharon. You should see the Indian Paint Brush and Bluebonnets here in April along the Texas roadways. Glorious. The police car though an innocent event would unnerve me too, but glad they are checking on you out on your adventure.

Gary-I have heard about the Texas Bluebonnets and know they are beautiful. One day I will visit Texas. The funny part about it is it didn't look like a police car.

Love Colorado and the wildflowers -  and appreciate that you stopped to get photos. The yellow isn't chamomile is it? Almost has that look... hard to tell.  Although, chamomile looks like little daisies and I'll bet you'd know that blossom.

Debb-I think you might be right because they did look kinda like little daisies. I just couldn't get over how many miles of them there were. It was an very enjoyable ride.

Hi Debb-Thank you for googling that for me. That sure looks like it. I wish my pics in the center were clearer but from what I can see I think you are right.

I'm not sure what the yellow flowers are, but you are correct on the asters. I'm near the Denver area for our state convention. The weather is beautiful right now, but we have a storm coming in. I could be traveling home tomorrow in snow.
