Does your CRM or email blast program use "noreply@____.com"?

As Realtors, we try to take pride in staying in contact with our clients and customers.  Yet I have already received two emails this morning with a reply address of noreply@_____.com.

Doesn't that tell your audience that you are only interested in talking and not listening?

I thought CRM stood for Customer Relationship Management?  Doesn't a successful relationship take two way communication?  Don't you want feedback and interaction with the people that you are sending your messages to?

Don't you want to see who's emails are bouncing back instead of just letting your software handle it via programming code?  Don't you want to engage the people in your data base to know their thoughts?  Don't you want (and need) feedback?

In my opinion, email blasts that include a noreply email address is proof of a CDM (Constant Dictator Method) not a Customer Relationship Management!

Speaking of feedback, I would appreciate yours on why people use such one sided communication.  I have often replied on purpose to emails that included a noreply email address just to see what happens.  Typically, you don't even get an autoresponder or anything saying that address isn't monitored, so you just assume you are being ignored.

I do want your feedback and comments.  Therefore, PleaseReply@.....

Suggestion:  Why not have your email address be "newsletter@___.com" or something instead?  I think more companies should use department based email addresses instead of personal ones so as people are on vacation, sick, fired or promoted, the history of the emails to the department are still available.

Jim Paulson Great blog post, but I have to believe that most of us will not even open an email, unless either expected, or from someone we already know. I personally put these emails into my spam reporting file.

Sandy Padula & Norm Padula, JD, GRI that brings up yet another point, does your CRM / email blast program differentiate between your various mailing lists?  I know I have seen agents here unsubscribe to a blast from our local MLS, local association or state association only to later complain were not notified of something because their "unsubscribe" deleted them from all emails.

Jim Paulson I just run separate CV files. Althought maintained manually, that's fine as it gives us the assurance that nothing, particlularly regarding unsubscriber rerquests drop through the cracks.

Nothing is going to occur unless and until there is a conversation.

Those web sites must have been designed by a company that doesn't rely on agent/buyer or seller communication.

Lenn Harley I don't just blame the company that wrote the programs, I think the people that use them should think about their image and how a person may perceive their message.

Also, congrats in advance on acheiving the 2.5 million point milestone here on ActiveRain since on your comment I see you are only 873 points away!  I remember when you had a mere million
