I have today; that is all. My today is what I have to work with. This today will make my tomorrow and provide me memories of my yesterday's. Not taking my yesterday's into today allows me to build a new today which builds the new tomorrow. Doing the best I can with my today gives me solace and provides me strength.
The days in real estate are varied and hectic. Calls come in, requests are made while schedules must be kept, it can be chaotic. It is easy to get lost with all the moving parts, get distracted, confused then dazed. With goals in view it is a bit easier to remember where you are headed and today is the day to do some paddling in that direction. Being in view of what you want makes it easier to remember where you want to go.
I have today: that is all. And today I want to make as much progress towards the life I want to live as I can. When this day is over I
want to lie my head down knowing I made that progress. The past does not rule my today's and yet it is always lurking. It nibbles at the thoughts and attempts to misdirect. It makes no sense to dwell in this past, it is gone. Knowing where I am headed is wonderful, but knowing what to do today to get there is vital.
I am blessed to have the opportunity to help serve and build my community. I am lucky to have found this way to serve. I awake each day with the promise of doing all that I can with all that I have to make this a better neighborhood, community. To help those in need achieve their dreams. When I do that I can feel good about today. Today is all I have, and that is all.
