If you read my post about a surprise in the back yard of one of my listings, the owner gave me an update on the life of this grenade that he found behind his one a few months ago. The bomb squad careful removed it from to porperty, and then in whatever safe location they do these types of things, tried to explode it. Nope, it was evidently not live, and was probably used for training.
As for how did it end up here? The law enforcement folks think it may have been the result of a tornado that passed through Murfreesboro several years ago sucking it up from an army training facility several miles away and dumping it here.
