April is starting out with a bang! I was just looking at our NE South Dakota MLS and saw some promising statistics.

So far April '08 is kicking April '07's butt! The number of units sold is up 20% vs. the same time period last year. Plus the average sale price is up. (Only 1%, but it is up!)

I can only hope this trend carries through the month. Man I love springtime!

I read somewhere that south Dakota was doing better than most of the nation b/c it didn't get into the subprime loan situation & so the speculation was kept low. True?? Enjoy your healthy springtime business!

Dalia, you are correct, SD was not hit as hard. The main thing I think we are dealing with is all the negatives in the media. The media keeps saying the sky is falling and in SD they are not.
