One of the first questions I ask my clients is “What is the best way to communicate with you?” Asking this question up front can help alleviate possible miscommunications throughout the transaction. Most real estate agents, based on personality alone, love to communicate in one form or another at a high level. There is nothing more frustrating for a client than to get multiple calls or emails that they have no time to answer. They may only have time for a quick text. It isn’t up to our clients to change the way they like to be or can be communicated with. It is up to me to adapt and make the transaction as easy as possible. Here is where it can get complicated. With so much technology out there we have many choices…phone call, email, text, audio text, face time and the list goes on and on. Good insights Kasia! Communication has evolved a great deal over the last 20 years or so. It wasn't that long ago when cell phones were not the norm, and now they do just about anything a standard personal computer can do with regards to getting and sending email, voice calling via a cellular connection or VOIP via internet connection, and video calling as you mentioned. There has to be one or at least a few of those options available to clients, and you are correct determining the best way is a good practice in ensuring the messages are received by the client in the most convenient fashion for them.

Well said...the conversation is always happening and the style of that communication does need to be set at the very beginning.
It is essential to be able to reach clients and the parameters definitely need to be definded upfront.
