Make Your Valentine a Treat They Can’t BUY!  YMMMMM…..

This is a simple recipe that we were introduced to over the holidays….and have made a couple of times since.

Ingredients

  • Miniature Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (as many as you'd like, unwrapped completely)
  • Round or square waffle pretzels (Two per peanut butter cup)
  • M&Ms candies
  • Parchment paper

Instructions

1.   Preheat oven to 350°F.

2.   Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange waffle pretzels over the parchment. Top each waffle pretzel with one unwrapped Miniature Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. Place tray in the preheated oven for JUST 1 MINUTE. Don’t overcook them!

3.   Remove the tray from the oven, immediately top each stack with an M&M candy.  Let them cool and set up completely before transferring to an airtight container. Store at room temperature for up to 5 days.

I know, I know, we are all still  supposed to be on diets, but, hey, it’s the holiday of love….and nothing says love like chocolate!

Best, Ron

Debb Janes In my opinion, you can never have too much chocolate.  Try this one, it's easy and all the pieces are nearly bite-sized....although I might have a big mouth!

These are certainly addicitive....and they have tiny little voices from the M&Ms, I think, that scream, "Eat ME!"

Hi Ron - That sounds yummy and easy, two great recipe characteristics. Thanks! But you neglected to specify what color M&M's we should use.

Ron, do me a favor - can you come up with a Valentine's treat that will NOT put inches back on my waist and stomach.  Maybe dark chocolate and organic peanut butter covered apples???

Hi Ron --- very simple but as Joanna Cohlan commented -- not a fair recipe for those resisting temptation.   I bet they are beyond delicious.

Sweet and salty are a great combination and bring out the best from both. I am going to the Chocolate Affair tomorrow. I will be on chocolate overload.

Joanna Cohlan The only treat I could think of was chocolate covered air!  But, still it would have a few delicious calories....happy Valentine's day!

Ok, I love the idea of chocolate covered air but I think that I would eat it so quickly it would cause too much unwanted gas!!!
