Making People Feel Important

“Everyone has an invisible hanging from their neck saying

‘make me feel important.’ Never forget this message

when working with people.”

Mary Kay Ash 1918 – 2001, American Businesswoman,

Founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics

As I see it . . . . . . .

Making people feel important

Life is about making other people feel important . . . . and bringing value into their lives.

When you’re with someone . . . . make them feel as if they’re the most important person in the world. The key is to give them your full and complete attention.

The successful people in life and in business will tell that a big part of their success comes through making people feel important . . . . and helping to get them what they want. As you help others attract more of what they want in their life . . . . you attract more of what you want into your life.

Making people feel important, makes them feel good about themselves . . . . and in turn you will form a lasting business relationship with them based on rapport . . . .  trust . . . . and confidence.

The people that you meet are subliminally saying to you . . . . make me feel important . . . . and when you do . . . . you positively rock their world. Also new doors will open that where once not there for you in the past.

Making people feel important . . . . Do your best to help them to feel that way . . . . and you will nurture your relationships to a higher and more productive level.

Lou,

What great advice for us all to follow. So many people are faced with heartbreak and despair. I think we all can help to make the better world a better place by taking your advice and showing others a little bit of love and kindness. Sometimes, all it takes is a little smile. Ever passed someone in the store who appears to look sad or frowning? Give them a little smile when you pass or pay them a compliment. Often times, the reciprocal response is a warm smile back, or a laugh or a brighten face. It really does make a huge difference in the lives of others. Thanks Again Lou for your reminder for us all to take time and give back!

When a person feels important, or in other words, appreciated, he/she will definitely do more than what is expected of him/her. Hence, the relationship will prosper and grow positively. It is basic human nature to want to feel that their hardwork is being valued and worth all the effort spent so far. Hence, regardless of the field or industry that a person is pursuing, everyone deserves to be well-recognized for their work no matter how small it is.
