Make An Impact On Google's SERPS By Using Yelp

It's getting harder to get any Google love these days. I suspect it has something to do with ad revenue. The projections this year are set in the billions. There are also constant algorithm changes that is going to affect content.

But fear not, check out Yelp. It's not just for restaurants anymore. A lot of companies are getting listed on there for everything from home repair services and computer services. Getting an account is FREE and you can get started in no time.

** Make sure when you get reviews for your services that they are coming from real people. Yelp is tightening down a bit from a lot of phoney reviewers. If you have a couple of paragraphs about your services there is a good chance you will be listed on Google and taken seriously.


If this is done correctly you can be sure that your company will be featured on page 1.

Ted ... I don't know how YELP works and professional real estate representatives - and what, if any, impact that would have on a google search - and I will check that out and get educated.  Thanks for the reminder.

When you post something on Yelp wait for about 3- 5 days and you will see it pop up on Google. Also, pay attention to how you name your post.

Google Reviews as well. Hard to get them to show up sometimes as Yelp does filter through them. It is not a perfect system. Ted Cantu

DO NOT USE YELP!  If you set up a "free" account you can never EVER delete it.  They commander your original content, photos, and claim it as their business account.  Yelp is the sound a dog makes when it's stepped on.  Yelp has hurt business.

Ted Cantu - I have been hearing more and more people speak about Yelp when looking for quality businesses and references. Guess it might be time to look into this.

Yelp isn't getting any love ... LOL... but I hear ya. Nothing is for sure. But whenever we hear of something that works we always share it. You can get mixed results but ours was mostly positive.
