The END of ZILLOW?

I just got an email about the potential end of Zillow.

HUH??

What??

Basically is said that Listhub is at odds with Zillow, and it will cut off the listing feed as of April 7th; thus destroying or at the very least diminishing the worth of the largest real estate portal.

Zillow, however, is punching back by introducing their own listing gathering program. Zillow said it will get the data directly from multiple listing services and brokers.

(I figure there's a scramble over at Zillow HQ.)

Can Zillow survive without Listhub? It remains to be seen.

Wow. How would life without Zillow be? Can real estate agents sell houses without Zillow?

Yes, we can sell homes without Zillow and Zillow is also not reliant on ListHub for survival...Zillow will continue on.

Zillow stock is down from 160.32 7/18/14 to 102.59 1/27/15. Some are suggesting that Warren Buffett will buy the whole company to add it to BHHSDrysdale brokerage.

Our MLS has "done a deal" to feed our listings to Zillow - This is going to be a fun "discussion" in the future when our listings continue to be misrepresented on Zillow. The ensuing calls to Zillow to correct a problem always used to be get the same answer, " Oh Listhub fed us the incorect info... " So how will they handle a direct from source issue? The upside is that the info won't be corrupted and that a $3.5 M property will no longer be seen on Zillow as a "Studio"! But will thoze Guestimates (I refuse to use the Z here) continue to based more on fiction than fact? I hope our MLS has hired a staff specifically to handle the complaints associated with this company and applaud Listhub for their actions, as they obviously got as fed up as I was spending so many man hours trying to undo the Z wrongs.... Yes it's going to be an interesesting year for sure.

Your MLS is going to work with Zillow?!

The Z wrongs...that's funny. LoL.

Some offices have decided not to check the box "Yes to all internet sites." That prevents the listing from being syndicated.
