Where did the last 30 days go? - It seemed like just yesterday I was sitting down writing a post and all of a sudden a month has gone by. How does that happen? I received a call from Joan Cox as a reminder about the Denver meetup happening this past Monday night (yep I missed it). I had all intentions of going, but then life and business happened and the day just got away from me.
I love Christmas and all of the holidays from November til the end of the year, but this past year it just seemed like a non-stop gathering, college kids back home for the holidays, several birthdays and anniversaries in December and the major holidays all fell on a Thursday, makes for a lot of short weeks and difficult to get all parties involved in a real estate transaction to coordinate. Every thing seemed to stretch out twice as long as it is supposed.
Now I am very thankful for the business, and the new agent additions and the holidays and the friends and family and all the gatherings and the parties and the much needed extra days of relaxation, but I think I would almost prefer that we make a change to the season and instead having a day off after a big holiday and then a weekend, we just move the weekend closer to the holiday and take 3 days in a row. Now I am sure a lot of you barely took any time off, but I can assure you that the underwriters working on my deals had a very long extended break that pushed everything back for all parties, some things are just out of our control.
It feels good to be back at my favorite water cooler, loving all the fresh new "Rain". Like a hungry bear after hibernation.
