Part 1

What’s next for the Great Park?

This question has been on the minds of many people lately as phase 1 of the Great Park has been officially completed and anyone can come to check out the Great Park Balloon and Carousel but what else can you do here?

Stay Active

At the 30-acre south lawn sports and fitness complex (completed Sept 2013) you can come to play basketball and soccer or enjoy a mile long “thrive path” which is perfect for walking and jogging.

On the North Lawn you will find a recreation area that’s multi-use and perfect for sports activities, sports clinics or family programs which will be held during the year.

Visitors Center

Located close to the Great Park Balloon you can get more history of the Great Park before taking a ride on the Carousel.

Healthy Living

Besides being a great place for individuals and families to stay active all year long you will find plenty of opportunities to stay healthy and active at the Great Park thanks to picnic areas, weekly farmers markets and urban gardens where fresh fruit and vegetables are grown annually.

Construction At The Great Park

Moving into 2015 we can expect to see more construction at the Great Park as many great builders including William Lyon Homes, FivePoint Communities and K. Hovanian Homes will be building homes at Great Park Neighborhoods.

We can also expect to see more commercial construction at the Great Park as Broadcom is expected to call the Great Park home in 2017 and many other companies are expected to follow.
