Yes there was a lot of hype. Yes, there was pandemonium at the grocery stores. And yes the schools are all closed (my post office too). It wasn't the blizzard that was predicted but it is still snowing and blowing and the streets are still largely snow covered. Relax, enjoy and wait awhile before judging.
Well you were lucky...it was very scarey here over the last 24 hours and dreaded losing power or part of the roof...all good...still have hours to go but it is improving, Sheila.
Hello Ginny. I thought about you all day. Glad you were OK so far. I just replaced some fencing from a neighbors tree that took out two section just before Thanksgiving. I see another branch down in the back but I am hopeful it didn't or won't fall on my fence. Take care. Sheila

Sheila we were lucky here in Middletown, CT. The Weatherman was predicting we would get up to 30", high winds, and power outages. We got about 18", the wind blew pretty good but not as high as they were predicting, and I don't know of any power outages around me. So considering what it could have been I consider us lucky.

Sheila-- The snow is pretty but I am glad that you didn't have as much snow as they had expected. I texted a friend on the Cape in MA and thankfully she still had power.

There was a lot of panic and hype even around the 2-4 inches we were forecast to get. I think we got a 1/2 inch.
