Gaithersburg Summer Camp Job Opportunities

 

Get paid to play. Openings are available for those 16 and older who enjoy working with kids and are talented in arts, music and sports. Gaithersburg's Summer Camp programs run for a total of 8 weeks (mid-June through mid-August), and qualified applicants could work up to 45 hours per week.

 

The City is also seeking volunteers (ages 14 and older) to assist as Counselors-in-Training and Inclusion Recreation Volunteers, working one-on-one with campers with disabilities. Visit the City's Job Opportunities page to sign up for an e-mail notification of job postings. Camp registration for City residents opens February 4. Open registration begins February 18.

These are great programs and they look good on college resumes. My daughter worked for several summers with handicapped youth - it was an educational and gratifying experience for her.

Hi Roy Kelley ,  I remember when I was a Junior Assistant Scoutmaster, I went to Summer camp prior to the kids coming, to get it ready and then spent the whole Sumer helping out at the camp.  It was a great experience.
