How would someone describe this performance?
Michael Cooper's Masked Marvels & Wondertales is a non-stop one-man variety show offering a unique mixture of virtuoso stagecraft and museum quality art to audiences of all ages. A master sculptor, Michael has won universal praise for his breathtaking, handcrafted masks, which he brings to life with an unsurpassed mastery of mime, storytelling, stilt dancing, and audience participation. From rising sun to crowing chicken, crawling baby to galloping horse, whirling wind to charging bull, not to mention a tree-tall giant and a barnyard dog, Michael's masks and stories grew out of his lakeside life in rural Maine, surrounded by a large extended family and his beloved maple trees.
The Harris Center is a venue for a wide variety of artists and performances of all sorts.
