Do You Follow the Community Rules on Activerain?

Here is a definition of the word "Community'. 

a. A unified body of individuals. 
b. The people with common interests living in a particular area; broadly  :  the area itself 

c. An interacting population of various kinds of individuals (as species) in a common location.

d. A group of people with a common characteristic or interest living together within a larger society

e. A group linked by a common policy 

f. A body of persons or nations having a common history or common social, economic, and political interests 

g. A body of persons of common and especially professional interests scattered through a larger society 

When you first join ActiveRain, be sure to read about the community. Figure out if you are going to take the correct road and follow the rules.

ActiveRain built this website and all of us are part of the community so we need to make it a better place but we must follow the rules. 

ActiveRain encourages “Free Speech” but we all know there are limitations here when writing and publishing on the internet. 

Do not violate copyright laws. Do not republish someone else’s content without permission. Do not put someone else’s picture on your blog unless you ask and best to get written permission. The word for this is “Stealing”. If you need a photo, go take your own.  

You must not violate any Fair Housing Laws. Violations of this nature can cause more problems besides the Activerain removal. You could find yourself in the middle of a Federal lawsuit and I am sure no one wants that headache!

As we know, there is a point system for posts on our blog but only our own work counts towards earning points. What doesn’t count: Copying someone else’s work, poems, jokes, long Bible verses, data off websites, and recipes.

Speak your mind but do not hurt anyone else’s feelings. Do not slander, attack or stalk another member. And if you feel someone has done this to you or another member, it is best to notify ActiveRain and let them take care of the problem. Do not expose personal information or disgrace another member. 

Anyone who violates the rules of the community can be removed so follow the rules and have FUN!
